How it actually works
Drive runs on a sequence: chase, grip, fight, win. A thrown ball ends at "chase" — that's why they're bored in eight minutes. The Drive Rig runs the whole loop. They commit to the bite, the bungee fights back, and they have to work for the win. That's the circuit a walk never touches.

Firehose bite target·Anchors to any tree or post·60 days risk free

Supervised play. The Drive Rig is interactive bite work, not a leave-it-out chew toy. Check the anchor before each session, stay with your dog while they work it, and bring it in when you're done.

The target is firehose — a dense woven jacket with no stuffing, no squeaker and no seams to unpick. Destruction usually starts when a dog finds something to pull out, and there's nothing inside this to get at. The bungee also means they're pulling against tension rather than settling in to gnaw, which keeps them in fight mode instead of chew mode.
That's the reason it's bungee and not rope. A fixed line has no give, so every head-thrash sends the full force back into their jaw and spine. The bungee stretches through the hardest pulls and absorbs that shock instead. Keep the anchor at roughly shoulder height so they're pulling level rather than wrenching upward.
Built for Malinois, GSDs, Heelers, Aussies, Collies and Cattle Dogs — plus high-drive non-herders like Huskies, Pitties, Springers and Boxers. It's about drive, not breed: if your dog grabs, pulls and refuses to let go, this hits the loop they were built for.
A high-drive dog with nothing to doSound familiar?
The Real Problem

Your dog isn't bad. They're unemployed.

High-drive breeds were built for a level of intensity that doesn't have an off switch. They want something to grab, fight and win — a task that demands their full effort. A lap around the block or another squeaky plush isn't a solution for a dog with this much engine. It's a warm-up.

The Eight-Minute Toy

You throw it, they bring it back, and they're bored before you are. Chase without a fight isn't a job.

The Walk That Doesn't Work

You walk them an hour. They settle for twenty minutes. Then they're vibrating again.

The $15-a-Week Toy Trap

Plush toys are gutted in an afternoon. Rope frays into strands they swallow. Both leave you broke.

Your Shoulder Is The Toy

Hand tug works — until twenty minutes of it wrecks your arm and you quit before your dog does.

15 minutes later.
The Fix

Give them a fight they can win.

The Kinetic Drive Rig isn't a toy — it's a job. Anchor it to a tree, a post or a fence, and the bungee becomes the opponent. Your dog grips the firehose target, pulls, and gets resistance back on every rep. Three motions. Fifteen minutes. The kind of drain two walks can't touch.

You're there for it, but your shoulder isn't doing the work. Set it up, stay with them, and let the bungee be the one that fights back.

Make it last

How to get the most out of Kinetic

It's a bite tool, not a chew toy. Use it the way it's built and one rig goes a very long way.

Dog working the Kinetic Drive Rig
1

Anchor at shoulder height

Wrap the strap around a solid tree, post or fence rail so the target sits level with your dog's shoulder. Pulling straight ahead is what you want — wrenching upward is what you don't.

2

Check the anchor every session

Ten seconds before you start. Give it a hard pull yourself and make sure the strap hasn't crept, the branch is solid and there's nothing sharp against the line.

3

Start with the Bite Pillow

The pillow is wider and easier to get a full mouth on, so dogs commit to it faster. Once they're locked in and pulling with confidence, move them onto the firehose target.

4

Let them win

A dog that never wins stops trying. Work the loop, then release the tension and let them have it for a few seconds before you reset. The win is what keeps them coming back.

5

Fifteen minutes, then done

Resisted bite work is intense. Fifteen focused minutes drains more than an hour of pacing, and stopping while they still want more keeps the drive high for tomorrow.

6

Bring it in when you're done

Sun degrades webbing, and a rig left hanging invites unsupervised chewing. Two minutes of pickup roughly doubles how long it lasts.

Built for Destroyers

Built for the dog who's already destroyed everything else.

Every objection a heavy-chewer owner has — answered straight.

What about heavy chewers and working lines?

Firehose is a dense woven jacket built to hold pressure — it's the toughest material we've put on a bite target. There's no stuffing, no squeaker and no seam to unpick, so there's nothing inside to work at. Under tension a dog is pulling and fighting, not settling in to gnaw, which keeps them out of chew mode entirely.

Firehose target. Nothing inside to gut.

Is the bungee actually easier on them?

That's the mechanical difference between this and a rope tied to a tree. A fixed line has zero give, so every head-thrash sends the full force straight back into their jaw and spine. The bungee stretches through the hardest pulls and absorbs that shock. Same fight, less jarring.

Bungee absorbs the shock a fixed rope sends back.

What's the Bite Pillow for?

It's the wider, stronger bite surface. A lot of dogs — especially ones new to resisted tug, or big-headed breeds — commit harder when there's more to get their whole mouth around. Start them on the pillow to build confidence, then move to the firehose target for full-power work. Most owners end up rotating both.

Wider bite surface. Easier to commit to.

Will my dog actually engage with it?

Most high-drive dogs lock on inside the first session or two — resisted tug is the loop they were bred for. Some need a ramp-up, which is exactly what The Drive Playbook is for. If they haven't engaged by the end of the guarantee window, send it back for a full refund. No restocking fees.

60-day "tire them out or your money back" guarantee.

Very useful indoors

Rained six days straight and I was losing my mind. Hooked this in the hallway door and he worked himself out in twenty minutes. First time all week he actually settled at night. The door thing is the whole reason I bought it.

Much better than a spring pole

I've gone through spring poles. This is the first one where I'm not worried about what's in his mouth. No clips, no metal, nothing to catch a tooth on.

Saves my shoulder

My lab is five and acts like he's eight months old. Twenty minutes on this in the living room and he's asleep by 7. My kids can start a session and I don't have to be the one getting my arm yanked off.

Became a routine for him

Heeler brain. Needs a job or he invents one, and the one he invents is usually expensive. Strapped this to the fence post and he goes at it every morning before I leave. Fabric has held up.

Does what it says.

Only knock is the bungee is shorter than I pictured — in my garage he's basically on top of the door. Fine outside, tight inside. Still using it every day.

Good for multi dog households

One goes on it while the other waits and loses his mind watching. Then they trade. Works better than anything else I've tried for two dogs in one yard.

Both chew targets work well

Rescue, came to me with zero confidence and wouldn't take anything in her mouth. Started her on the pillow because it's bigger and easier to grab, and she's now a completely different dog about tug. Worth getting both. Also portable! Took it camping with us.

My body is thanking me

He's 95 lbs and he pulls like a truck. Bungee absorbs it instead of my shoulder. Been on the oak in the side yard about two months, target still looks like new.

Great for the winter

Winter here is five months long and my basement is now a training room. Anchors in the utility door, no marks on it so far. She'd go all night if I let her.

Tires her out!

Husky in winter is a full time job. She'll work this in the snow until she's steaming. Only thing that's ever actually tired her out.

Common questions

Everything else you might be wondering.

Because there's nothing in it to destroy. Every toy your dog has gutted had something inside — stuffing, a squeaker, a rope core that frays into strands. The firehose target is a dense woven jacket with none of that. And because it's under bungee tension, your dog is pulling against resistance rather than lying down to work a seam.

A solid tree, a fence post, a deck post, a pull-up bar — anything that won't move when your dog throws their full weight into it. The strap wraps and cinches, so there's nothing to install. Set the target at roughly shoulder height and give the anchor a hard pull yourself before every session.

The firehose target is the narrower, denser bite — it's what full-power working dogs settle on. The Bite Pillow is wider and stronger, which makes it far easier for a dog to get a full mouth on and commit. If your dog is new to resisted tug, or hesitant, start on the pillow. Most owners rotate both.

Yes. Grip-and-pull is wired into any high-drive dog, not just herders. Huskies, Pitties, Boxers, Springers and high-drive mixes all take to it. The mechanism is about drive, not breed.

Honestly — this is a yard or park product. It needs a solid anchor and room for your dog to back up and pull. If you don't have a yard, plan on sessions at a park with sturdy trees, or a sturdy post you can legally use. We'd rather tell you that up front than have you find out.

The bungee is there specifically to reduce the jarring a fixed line creates — it stretches through the hardest pulls instead of sending that force back into their jaw. Keep the anchor around shoulder height so they're pulling level, and skip resisted tug entirely with puppies still losing teeth or any dog with a known dental or neck issue. If you're unsure, ask your vet first.

Usually it's one of two things: they don't yet know it's "for them," or the target is too narrow for them to commit to. Start with the Bite Pillow, get them winning early, and keep sessions short. The Drive Playbook (free with every order) walks you through the ramp. If you've followed it and still nothing, send it back inside 60 days.

Most owners notice a deeper nap after the first good session. Behaviour changes — less destructive chewing, less pacing, less demand barking — usually settle in over a week or two of daily use. The 60-day guarantee covers anything beyond that.

Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days with tracking by email. Free US shipping is included on every order — every bundle, no minimum.

First toy that survived them

My Corso went through three “indestructible” toys in a month. This one’s lasted, drains him, and I just swap the target. Finally an off-switch.

The door anchor is genius

Apartment plus a 70-lb Pit equals problems. Hooked it to the bedroom door, walked away, came back to a tired dog. No chewed baseboards this week.

My husky destroys everything for fun. This is the first thing that’s lasted, and swapping the target is two seconds. Honest product.
